Hey Y'all... Ups and downs on the spiritually energized road of passionate filmmaking.
Sometimes it's downright discouraging when things go wrong: chemicals in the effects lab don't behave properly, people don't get back to you when the fate of the universe hinges on their movements, you have to return to point "A" because you didn't get a form stamped before proceeding to point "B," etc...
But in times like these, remarkably enough, if you're a good person (and if you're lucky), you will have a support system of friends and family members who reassure you that your heart is in the right place, that the work you are doing is quality, and that you should be proud of the steps you've already taken on an uphill path...
Yesterday, Maria reminded me that it is all right to momentarily set aside the to-do lists and look past the monster that I've been creating so that I can have a breath of tranquility. Now, once again, I am picking up my hammer and chisel and continuing working on creating something beautiful from nothing.
